Neil Mason Associates: new building surveyor joins the team

Neil Mason Associates, chartered surveyors specialising in the commercial and healthcare sectors, has appointed Tony Young to join the team. Tony is an experienced building surveyor who has spent the past 14 years project managing the refurbishment of a wide variety of building projects for a diverse client base. Tony will be working alongside Phil Weston to grow the building surveying and project management side of the business.

'We're really pleased to welcome Tony to the team,' said Tom Mason, director at Neil Mason Associates. 'He has worked with some high profile clients on large projects and will be bringing his expertise to bear on a number of existing projects within the office. We're looking to expand both the business and the services we can offer our clients, and we see Tony as a key part of that process.'

Most recently, Tony has worked for Travis Perkins where he project managed the refurbishment of the firm's Plumbing and Heating HQ, and new training and development centres for subsidiary businesses, CPS and PTS.

Prior to that, Tony was Associate Director at Lambert Smith Hampton in Northampton working on building surveying and refurbishment projects for organisations such as British Steel, Northamptonshire Fire & Rescue and Northamptonshire County Council. Tony also managed an infection control refurbishment roll-out for the West Hertfordshire Primary Care Trust.

Tony has a degree in Building Surveying from Liverpool John Moores University and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

When not at work, Tony organises live music events in and around Northampton.
